I'm officially about 14 weeks pregnant!

Yes, I didn't tell you...the little pouch growing is a baby... and no, this Skinny Bitch (title of a book, you should read, Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin), is not getting fat, nor plans to...

This is supposed to be the end of the high risk period...and now the baby has a higher possiblity of making it to full term....

Pregnancy is a condition you can't hide, so might as well tell you now before you find out by looking at my belly and feel betrayed...how come she didn't say anything.

Those of you who have been pregnant, totally understand, except those who can't keep it to themselves...:)

A little life is happending inside....and is due in February....

Tee Ball!

The game of tee-ball has helped my son Nicolas understand the concept of the game. He loves to play first base, and he has hit the ball pretty far, without the pressure and millions of instructions.

What is Tee ball? Tee ball is a game where a player his the ball on top of a inverted t is placed at the home plate, and the players learn to swing the bat. The score is not kept and rules are designed to maximize participation: an inning is completed once each child has had a turn at bat and all extra players of the defensive team play in the outfield every inning.

Our team only has about 10 participants in each game, though there were registered with 15 players, there are always more than a few missing. Tomorrow night, Nicolas is playing his last game as a tee ball player, and perhaps will pass on his learned joy to his younger brother!

My e-bay adventure

As you may or may not know, everyone is trying to make money

I'm going to help whoever wants help with my things that are cluttering my life, but have some value, and giving it away for less money...

So I posted an item on e-bay...If you know anyone intereseted please forward!

This is my description for the audiobook!

On 2004, I had my first born child. I had a normal pregnancy until I had my 3rd ultrasound where it showed oligohydromanus (low-amnio fluid). I wish I knew than, I had choices. I could have drank more water, I could have asked more questions, I could have demanded more information.

I was induced and at the time, I didn't know that I could choose to stand up, that I could choose to walk around, that hospital policy is not meant to protect me, but to protect the hospital.

Lynn Griesemer gives you secrets to a successful birth, and gives you the right resources to get more information, to use and prepare for a successful birth. I know because this is one of the audiobooks that I used to prepare for my successful VBAC (vaginal birth after ce-searan).

If you are preparing for a childbirth, this is a must have!
The message on the CD is invaluable.

You can visit the website of the original seller of the CD.

The price you will get it for is a bargain!

My VBAC story in You Tube

This is the visual version of the story.

Lyrics to the song!!

You Gotta Believe Lyrics
Artist(Band):Natalie Brown

N. Brown/J. Rwakaara

V1
You've been thinking about your life
And wondering what to do
You have some big dreams inside
But how do you see them through
When you don't know where to go
To make a start
Tell ya what, listen to your heart
Focus on the prize, dreams will be realized
No matter what people say, keep going anyway

Chorus:
You gotta believe, believe in you
You gotta have faith, faith in all you do
You gotta stay strong, no matter what comes your way
Get on your knees so you won't stray
You gotta believe

V2
Sometimes when you
Have a dream to achieve
Things get rough and tight
But ya gotta believe
That if you stay in the game
You'll come out on top
So give it your all, don't ever stop
Focus on the prize, dreams will be realized
No matter what people say, keep going anyway

Bridge:
Focus so you won't stray
No matter what people will say
Keep on goin' do your best
Know that you will be blessed

Have you drank Tylenol recently?

I obtained this article from one of my groups that talks about Vaccine dangers. I thought that I should share, since Tylenol is a common medication that most people take.

Tylenol (calpol) depletes glutathione

Numerous studies document that tylenol depletes glutathione, which is
a crucial ingredient for immunity and for detoxification. Sadly, the
parents whose kids were having a vaccination reaction and, at doc's
or nurse's suggestion, gave tylenol were thereby exacerbating adverse effects.

Same would be for the use of it in any other illness.

Vitamin K injections

This article states reasons and information about the Vitamin K shot given to newborns routinely at the hospital.

http://www.givingbirthnaturally.com/newborn-vitamin-k.html

The rationale for newborn vitamin K injection at birth is that newborns are born with a "deficiency" of vitamin K. This perceived "deficiency" can lead to decreased clotting ability of the blood, that can leave the newborn more susceptible to hemorrhage. The risk is quite small, only about 1 in 200, but it does exist....

The Baby MOVES me

I know that some people say that there should be a certain amount of movement per certain amount of time. I have no clue what those numbers are, what I do know is that the baby moves me. The stomach either trembles, or you can feel a kick, or a rub. Since I started this message the baby moved at least six times. There are times, when I'm walking, talking, or just simply moving around that he would literally stop me, and say "Aha! I'm here!!"

I feel the kicks higher in belly, which is good, it could mean that he is in the right position. He is kicking me above the belly button. Now, I'm telling him that he needs to face my back, and keep kicking up there where he is at. I tell him that is great that he is kicking, it doesn't bother me at all. Well it only bothers me when I feel movement right on top of my bladder, and I have to go ROOM...oh! If you have had pressure place in your bladder, you know how that goes. I'm terribly excited as time goes on and everything with the baby is so perfect. I'm increasing in size, gaining weight as I should be. I'm looking forward to birthing, and putting the hypnobabies into practice. I have about 10 weeks left. I'm just thinking positively that I am looking forward to meeting my second son real soon.

Breastfeeding!!

Often the people around me are surprised that I breastfed my son for 3 1/2 years. Heck, I even surprise myself. I didn't do it for myself. I did it for him to have one overall advantage that I didn't have, the perfect food for babies.

When I think about the whole experience, once I learned how to do it, how to measure it, and how to define success...It was a lovely and great experience. People are often asking me questions about what did I supplement with, how do you know he is getting enough, doesn't it hurt? In my initial experience, I had pain. I had aggravation. I couldn't tell if he was getting enough. Moreover, I didn't trust the natural process of breastfeeding. I learned luckily by reading, and meeting other moms who were breastfeeding through La Leche League.

I found all this wonderful information using the World Wide Web, and I posted about it on my other webpage, http://www.geocities.com/morelia78/bebe.html. I didn't write about mastitis, because I reserved that for my vegan page. That pain by itself was a world of its own, that lead me to do tons and tons of research about why I should really just stick to breastfeeding. It wasn't just about saving tons of money on FORMULA. It wasn't just about being the best thing for the ENVIRONMENT. Do you know how much trash you produce, just trying to feed your baby the CONVENIENT FOOD?? It is about the fact that we don't know what nutrients breast milk contains and it was meant for the baby. BREAST MILK serves to prepare the immune system, provides emotional support, and does many invisible and miraculous things for your baby.

I am not a Breastfeeding NUT. What I hope other would do is research, learn to think independently, and do what is best under EVERY SINGLE circumstance. If you do not know what your options are, you are simply letting others decide for you.

12 weeks

The unsolicited comments about the sex of the baby have begun...You're having a girl! I hope you have a girl! Oh, it would be nice for you to have a girl.

STOP IT!!!

I don't care whether it is a boy or a girl, because I have been drowning in nausea does not mean that the baby has a lot of hair...it does not mean anything....
I don't know if I want to know the sex of the baby, I don't know if I want you to try to guess, for my 1st baby, I wanted a boy, I got a boy, and I'm successfully happy with a boy...for this baby my concern is being able to have a vaginal and successful birth, so that I may bond with my baby...

For my first birth, I was induced at 34 weeks and 4 days for low amniotic fluid....They used cervidil at first, and I had a friendly nurse...I was being monitored for both contractions and the baby's heart rate, and they placed the hep lock in....If I had the urge to go to the bathroom, I would get up and go....by the time she left, I had dilated up to 5 cm, Than the nurse that I had switched shifts, and I got the nurse from HELL, she didn't let me get up the bed, the contractions were consistent still but not painful, however, I felt like a log that couldn't move, she had me pee in a bedpan, she told me to stay still, she scared me to death.... I was glad because they moved me from that area to another laboring area, and they switched the nurse....however, the problem now became that they put in the pitocin, what was that for, the back pain began, the intense contractions began to kill me, at the time, the doctor came in and he ruptured the membranes....I couldn't stand it at all, I was offered the epidural for the 3rd time, and at that time, I agreed, my baby's heart rate began to drop, and the doctor started saying that the baby could have the cord wrapped around his neck, and that I needed a cesearan....about 20 minutes later, I was rolled into the OR, and the surgery began, they pulled the baby out of me, and showed him to me for what felt to me was one second, they gave it to the father, and he showed him to me again, but again it wasn't that long. I was place in a recovery room, and my baby was sent to the NICU, the next day I didn't get to see my baby until about 16 hours later, I was dissapointed and upset at my birthing experience, he spent 7 days in the NICU, and I had a baby shower that I couldn't enjoy because I had been recently released from the hospital.

I need to put this experience behind me....I need to have my VBAC, and I need to have it for this, as I don't know if I will ever get pregnant again...I'm going to treat this as if it will be my last, and I expect to enjoy it to the fullest....Thank you!
